BF-2 project anyone?

I've been working on a few LFO footswitch control ideas (reverse, stop, top of sweep, bottom of sweep) and so far things are looking good!

I found that I needed a flanger with a basic garden variety LFO for testing my ideas. The only flangers I have incorporate busier, more component heavy LFO designs. I didn't feel like bread boarding this circuit so I worked up a board with pads to break out sections to a breadboard.

When I was finished I worked up another version without all of the pads in case anyone was interested. The board will fit in a 125B with the trace side resting on enclosed jacks. The footswitch will fit at the bottom of the board.

Any love for the BF-2?
If I get a few replies, I'll work up a build PDF.

I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

great ! i´m a big fan of the bf-2b, which could be easily built on the same board. i even sourced a MN3204 for it.
so i´m interested for sure.

cheers, lowstar

I'd say yes, Larry, but if I had as many illegitimate children as I have flangers waiting to be finished, I'd have ALL my wages and savings garnished and every piece of gear I own in hawk!!  :icon_lol:

I know what you mean Mark!

The build list just keeps getting longer!

Sometimes it feels like there's a monkey on my back!  ;D

color me interested. just tried the fromel mods and wasn't as blown away with what it did as I had thought, this on the other seems to be far more practical for my purposes.

I'm not really sure what you mean. This is just a stock BF-2 with the FET switching removed.

That would be a no.

I haven't even got around to etching and drilling my version with the pads for testing yet.

So many projects....so little time!  ::)

okie, thanks. i don´t mind the drilling, but the etching is such a mess... ;-)

Just so you know...

For the component pads I use a #70 (.0280) drill.

For the wire pads a #65 (.0359) drill.

Some of the low part count layouts that I see for fuzz boxes and such have much larger solder pads for use with a much larger drill bit.

If you try to use the same size drill bit on this board...the pads will get ripped up.

Resurrecting this one - has anyone built a BF-2 from this project file?
