So my preset switch on my pog2 has recently started to fail. So I put in a spst momentary clickless switch, fixed it right up and no click click click. But now that I've fixed it I'm thinking that there has to be some way to mod it so that I can hold down the preset switch and it cycle through presets. Maybe have an adjustable speed dob for how fast it cycle. I often just play and tap repeatedly to cycle it for the effect of it running through the 8 presets almost a stutter, getting cool effects that way. Somyquestion would be does anyone know what or how to do this? Just joined this forum so hopefully I'm posting in the right place.

Sounds like a CMOS 555 oscillator circuit driving a CMOS switch like the 4066. Adjustable low frequency.

I'll definitely look into that! Hope to see more replys and ideas on wiring it. Thanks

use the cmos version of the 555, and what you want is an astable oscillator (see Operating Modes) and a relay driver (see the driving a relay drawing, but just the output.  Your square wave will be driving the relay, not a button press).  You probably want to use 5v or 12v or find a 9volt relay and use 9v.

This should sound pretty cool.

Dang, I was hoping that the square wave alone would trigger it. Fitting the 55 circuit was going to be a challenge, throw in a relay and I'll have to put it in its own enclosure. What's a good place to find small relays? When I have it all breadboarded and working I'll make sure to take pictures.
