zombie chorus without the delay chip

has anyone tried this, leaving the delay chip out of the zombie chorus..  interesting sounds can be obtained.

sure I got this even with the delay chip in - all you need is for the LFO not to work (the opamp pin that had the LFO output was bent up out of the socket) :-)

If you leave the delay chip out wouldn't you just be getting the straight through (dry) sound which is pretty much just an op-amp buffer that sounds a bit bright because of the 0.001uf input cap?
