Hi guys,

I'm building PCB Guitar Mania's Green Lemon. I'm building it in a 1590JJ enclosure so I use wires to solder pots to the PCB.
The problem I'm having is that the pedal has this weird squealing noise. I set up all my JFETs to around 4.5v but I noticed when I set the Q2 to 1V the squealing is gone but the sound is weird, the sustain is gone.

Does anyone know if this could be because of the pot wiring? Or maybe some caps are making this issue?

Thanks!

Try to place a 100pF (or bigger) cap between Q2 Drain and Gate..

In case of squealing persists for Q2 Drain set lower enough than 4.5V (or so) place another cap of the kind (Miller cap) on Q1..

P.S.
Are JFETs used identical to those proposed in build documentation..??

I'll try that.
Yes, JFETs are as proposed in build docs. I bought this as a kit from Musikding.
