hello, can anyone help with the type of mounting fastener I should use for this battery clip to be installed? hopefully something I can get at the hardware store. maybe small bear can pair the clip with fasteners in future for clients?  appreciate the help.

You could use a screw through the case and that included mounting hole, but I never liked the way a screw through the outside looked.  You could try and Epoxy it in place, but I personally have had limited success with epoxy on aluminum enclosures.

I like using a piece of dense foam in the case, and on the part of the lid that goes over it, sandwiching the battery in the box.   It's the easiest and keeps that battery stationary.

I used to really be with it!  That is, until they changed what "it" is.  Now, I can't find it.  And, I'm scared!  --  Homer Simpson's dad

I use pop-rivets

I think that's the only practical solution.  I have one of those clips (unknown origin) and it is an exact fit on the battery, no room for screw heads.

It works well.. hardest part is you have to drill the holes in the clip to 1/8"

Have you thought of using double sided tape. There are tapes these days that they use on aircraft construction. 3M do something called VHF or VHS or something like that. I recently saw it in action at a trade show. 2 steel plates couldn't be seperate using all my strength. Insane, probably not cheap though.
