Why not use a DIL8 package or just make your own part?

Once you make a part in eagle once you've pretty much got it down.

Yeah, I was kinda trying to avoid that :) But you're right - no rest for the wicked

That's what I did. Just renamed it.
If any of you manage a new package with appropriate
Pin numbers and naming i'm in.

Sorry to be pedantic, but it's Stomp*LFO* not Stomp*FLO*. It's a Stompbox LFO, so it's called StompLFO - logical, right?

I agree that StompFlo rolls off the tongue more easily, but then it'd be a stompbox frequency low oscillator.

If it was your little baby called Betty and everyone called it Sue, you'd feel a little aggrieved, right?

Kipper4

I feel responsible for that. I read it wrong initially and made the gaff. So sorry.
I have since corrected the posts I was able to amend.

StompLFO.

To be fair the thread title is right it's just Karen's model name.

It's funny, it seems to be a natural tendency, at least for English native speakers. The TapLFO has frequently been known as the TapFlo too. "Lfo" isn't a typical group of letters (I can't think of a word that includes them in that order) but "Flo" is.

I wrote the "FLO" as kudos to Rich, who is my idol :) And it just rrrolls off the tongue. You just gonna have to live with people adapting :)

I am indeed. Here's a screenshot from part of the discussion over on t4gb04rd3ffects:

As he says, Dang it TapLFO. I'll just have to rename the baby.
