Just a quick one.  Going off the original schematic of the fOXX Phaser, there is a 2 position Speed Range switch.  This works along side the Speed Pot.  In the slow position, the pot goes from a very nice slow speed to a gentle medium speed.  In the fast position, it goes from unusable fast speed to an absolute mental speed.

What I am trying to say here is, the Fast Position is just far too fast and unusable.   I've got another thread on here for when I created my board etc and Larry (Armdnrdy) details another approach using a rotary switch with 3 positions and some offboard caps to get an even spread.  That works great but it takes up a lot of pedal real estate and like I said before, the higher speeds are pretty useless.

So, I'm thinking I could tame the high setting by either changing the values of C7 and C9, or C8 and C10?  Which set do I change and do I increase the values or decrease the values?  That is assuming I'm actually in the right ballpark!

The switch gives two options: 0.22uFd or 2.42uFd.

Bigger cap, slower speed.

You don't like the 0.22u fast speed, at least at the limit.

Make C8 C10 0.44u and it will run half-fast; 0.66u 1/3rd speed; 0.88u 1/4 speed.

I suggest finding anything like a pair of 0.2u to 0.3u caps and tack them temporarily on the existing 0.22u C8 C10. That will tell you if you are going the right direction, and too much or not enough.

This will also slow the slow speed, but not much.

Thanks Paul.  I will have a play and report back

The ideal will be to have the 'Fast' setting starting from where the 'Slow' ends.
