i have a little local one, not much choice, but what he does have is pretty good...

and i always use his clear on various stuff...


top tip: if you ever need matt black, poundland.

Yea, I do that sometimes. You can also spray Matt lacquer over gloss coats to make the finish Matt.

A general advantage of matte/flat paints is that they go on thinner and dry quicker.  Solids:solvent ratio.  Really good for the first coats even if you ultimately want something glossy.  But waterslide decals want to go onto a glossy surface, so there's that to plan around.
