Hello every one,
I built the triangle big muff form general guitar gadets pcb.
http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/effects-projects/distortion/big-muff-pi/

When you look at the build doc. I built the triangle.
It works but it is not an even sound to it, it has some wave to it.
Q1 to 4 are 2n5088
diodes 1-2-5-6 are 1n914
volatages  using 9volt battery @11v

Q1                     should be
E   .18                 .03
B    .91                .6
C     5.62             3.9

Q2

E   .06               .03
B   .82               .06
C    5.34            3.8

Q3
E  .17                .03
B   .89               .06
C  5.47               3.8

Q4
E  .72                1.8
B   1.46             2.5
C  .81                4.0

Looks like Q4 is your problem area.  Look for a wrong resistor around there.

Your "should be" voltages for the bases of Q1-Q3 are supposed to be 0.6, not .06.

Your voltages are generally high because your battery reads 11V (!), might be your meter is off a little.

Is that a GGG board?  It doesn't match the one in the link.  It says "Muff'n" on the bottom...Google takes me to the EHX English Muff'n.  I very confused.

Also, two LEDs on the board?  In a trangle Muff?  More confused.

Anyway, you've got several caps with soldering iron burns.  Some look deep enough to be problematic.

Check R19 and R22. It looks as though you have the wrong values installed.

I will recommend replacing C11 (10nf) with a smaller value, like 4n7 or 3n3, and using a SPST toggle to place the complementary value (4n7 or 6n8, for example) in parallel to restore the original tonestack performance.  Using a smaller C11 value raises the rolloff frequency for the lowpass section.  When you set the Tone to full bass, the sound is "rounder" and not muffled, like many overdrves with the treble turned down.  When the second cap is added in parallel, the Tone control works as normal, giving the traditional midscoop.  The full-treble setting is not changed, but a little more lower-midrange will come through.

This is, in my view the most return for the simplest and easiest mod.
