Can someone advise how to implement a power socket please.  I am unfamiliar with a 2 x 9V setu up.

That ought to do it without changing anything in the circuit. It would be possible to mod to single supply, but since the eq can boost, that might clip signal too easily if only a single 9v supply.

If you're using 4558 you can use any charge pump up to +-18V
