I built a twin valve caster with some mods to it.
1- I can use 1 or both tubes.
2- true bypass mode
3- 1 master tone and master volume
4- gain pot for each tube.
Running now at 9 volt
looking to build a higher volt for 12ax7 tubes not sure which one to work on I am looking at the mctube but it only has 1 tube.
hoping to find something with 2 tubes.

Here is a pic

Very nice  :icon_biggrin:. Your skills are advancing very well.

Any chance of uploading a sound demo?

That is a good question and I don't know the answer.
Perhaps another forum member could shed some light on the best way to embed sound or video files. I suspect that Soundcloud and/or YouTube will be involved.

Nice work Who!  Would like to hear it.

Youtube is easy, so is Soundcloud.  Just make an account at either place, and upload an MP3 or other 'approved format' recording that you can make on your phone or digital camera...then link it here.

I'd make a McTube just to say you did (for the experience of entering the world of mains wiring work....it is a good place to start).  It is simple enough so you can keep what you are doing straight when setting up the transformers.  Then, work your way into a tube preamp like GTFO or something.    My 2 cents...

"Then I'm gone!  I'm gone!"

(Used to cover that one in high school)

Sounds good man!

Whomeno. Try running it at 12v with the 12au7 tubes. I love mine at 12v.

Good work, "Who"...I agree w/Chris, 12V and 12AU7.  They seem a bit smoother at lower voltages, to my ear...far better suited to low voltage applications than 12AX7.

Curiosity: are you running into a tube amp, or transistor?
