Hi Guys

So I'm buildning another Magnavibe and it struck me that it would bee cool to sync it with other modulation boxes like a tremolo. Kind of like a modular synth with patch cables between the pedals. Have anybody done something like this?

I'm thinking I'll take the indicator led wires of something like the Tremulus Lune and wire it to an external jack and then patch it in to the Magnavibe.

Would this work?

There are pros and cons of doing what you describe.  I've made myself a couple of dual-phasers, with the switch-selectable capability of having independent LFOs or being driven by a single LFO.  Having a 4-stage vibrato feeding a 4-stage phaser, synced to the same LFO, provides interesting sounds.  At the same time, periodicity (i.e., the predictable up and down of an LFO) can get very boring very quickly.    Having a less predictable sweep can keep things interesting longer.  And if the two effects are of different categories, as well as unsynced, you can get interesting combinations of each effect cropping up.

I made a stereo Magnavibe with independent LFOs, and it sounds wonderfully immersive.  This is particularly the case because in stereo (as opposed to a mono mix), each side is perceived in contrast to the other.

Again, pros and cons.
