Weird transistor switching

Hi all, another question! So i was halfway through a build and used a transistor i happened to have in place of tthe one i was waiting in order for, but found i equally liked the very different sound of the placeholder; for some reason, i decided to also try both transistors in the same position as the other and liked the tone just as much! I wanted to try figure out a way of switching between them; i tried an spdt between the input pins, and an on/on/on dpdt switch between all of the transistor pins, but to no avail; i havent reallly seen it in any other schems to be able to find a good starting place, i will include pictures! Any help very appreciated!
