Level pot not working on sd-1 ggg's clone

i've built this clone http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/effects-projects/distortion/boss-sd-1/ following ggg's schematic and i got everything working except for the level pot.
The drive and tone pot work perfectly, the led turns on, the signal is clear, i just can't get the level pot to change anything. Moving it doesn't change the signal in any way.
I would appreciate help fixing this as i'm really a begginer to electronics.

Most likely a bad solder joint on the volume pot/pcb or could be a faulty pot. try reflow the solder on the pcb and or pot, if that doesn't work try replacing the pot

I think it's more likely that you've got the wires to the PCB mixed up. Check which one goes where carefully.

If the joints or pot were bad, I doubt you'd be hearing a good loud clear signal. But it's possible.
