Is it a special brand probably bought in bulk.

Hammond might have made something like that.  But as I recall, the PAiA boxes were steel, and Hammond's folded sheet-metal boxes came in either steel or aluminum.  I'm pretty certain you can probably still get something that size.  The tougher question is whether you can get them with the folds on the "short" side.  Or does it need to be exactly like the PAiA boxes?

It could be an older style of Bud or Hammond.

It could be that in the 1980s John had Tulsa Duct And Flashing bend-up a few thousand boxes and they have been living on the stash ever since.

PAiA has always been DIY-friendly. More interested in happy musicians than bean-counting. I suggest you just ask them. Maybe they tell you a part to get. Maybe they sell one/few from their stash.

Thank you! I've found a couple of boxes, theres a company called TEKO (http://www.tekoenclosures.com/) but I would like some heavy steel ones. I thought it would be cool to build a couple of oldschool PAIA boxes with PAIA projects for guitar. Maybe build them in original colors and put them on a smal pedalboard.

Here you can find most of the original manuals schematics and even some PCB artwork.
