Fixing Boss CE1

Hi everybody,

I was experimenting with pedal chain-placement and I put my Chorus pedal (boss ce1) after my Fuzz and Distortions into the front of my amp not FX Loop and I hear that my CE1 is now less powerful than it was before. When I started using it again it basically almost didn't work. It sounds like a fuse blew out.

I would greatly appreciate somebody help on this.

At 40 something years old, it's very probably just a dried electro but if you want more information, we need more information.

Photos and voltage readings would be a good start.

Thanks so much for responding. I actually troubleshooted it all day and discovered that when I put it in the FRONT of the amp it restored its juice and is working again. It just didn't have as much juice in the FX loop when I put it back (Marshall dsl20hr). I was very worried as its a very special (and expensive) pedal. I thought I almost lost it!

Again, thanks so much for responding. I now am tasked with organizing it in my pedal chain in proper and safe order.

this still doesn't sound normal, and the problem may occur again. is your FX Send set to instrument level (-10dB)?
