Small amplifier using KA2206 ?

Has anyone tried the KA2206 for a small amplifier? A search here showed it was only mentioned in passing in a discussion 12 years ago.

You will need about 0.8A (800mA) to push 5W in 8 Ohms BTL, so not your cheapest 9V adaptor.

Otherwise, amp is amp. Low-volt amps can't afford "soft overload", they just clip.

I was thinking more about just doing a 2.3 watt version into 4 ohms.

You will most likely end up with same-ish power requirements.

Looks like your chip is somewhat similar to the ubiquitous TEA2025.
