Any idea why the 50k volume control is linear?  Wouldn't a 50k taper, audio, pot be better ?

Do you know what you're doing?

PRR

Because you are not likely to want to turn it WAY down.

But go ahead and try an audio taper. I think the whole range from zero to 4.5 will be un-useful, but I am often wrong.

For a second opinion you might need to dig around the web for pics of original units where you can see the pot markings.

According to the water analogy of electricity, transistor leakage is caused by holes.

Thanks PPR and Rob....I was observing the GGG schematic. Rob pointed me to another that shows a taper volume pot. Goes to prove there is more than one way to out smart a Foxx. (Moral of the story I should start Foxx hunting, or is that searching)

You can burn up a lot of hours trying to work out the tapers on those old pedals.   Be careful of misinformation.  Original schematics don't always represent reality.
