Hi everyone, hope you're all well with all that's happening in the world.

I would just like to pick some of your experinced brains on what you guys think would be a good load of parts and equipment to buy to start off messing about building pedals. I do have a slight knowledge of all the circuits stuff from studying physics to a decently high standard so that's not too much of an issue and ofc i've been scrubbing up watching some of the wampler pedals and diy guitar pedals videos over the last little bit, but especially now were stuck at home i'd like to start making some stuff just on a breadboard for now. Of course that means i'll need a breadboard of some sort (any suggestions? if it helps with stuff i'm uk based), and then it's down to resistors, capacitors transistors op amps all the different breadboard connectors for that stuff and then jacks for power and in/out.

If you have any suggestions like amazon link or something that would be a huge help, i'm mainly just planning to dip my feet into boosts, od's and distortions for now just to see what sounds i can make.

Thanks all.

Welcome! There seems to be lots of new folks here recently, i guess people have got time on their hands. Good stuff, more the merrier!

I have this breadboard which i really like:

You can find many breadboards, much smaller and much cheaper but the cheap ones crap out eventually and i found with the smaller ones i kept running out of room. For the price i think this one is good.

As for components to start with...i'm sure this has come up a lot and there's likely a few threads with a good collection of parts people have listed. I'll have a quick look

Ye that's definitely helped a lot thanks, i'll have a look around and see what i can source that's uk based and get started soon hopefully.

Thanks a lot

BitsBox are good:

RS Components are probably my favourite, free postage too.
