no clean sound

Been a long while. Hows everyone doin? Anyhow, I've got a pedal where the fx works great but theres no clean sound passing through when it's not activated.  Never had this happen before. Now before I go running my multimeter over everything and posting the full troublehsooter post, is there something obviously wrong in this case?

Which pedal? DIY or from some brand with mass production? Electronic switching or 3pdt? Does the bypass ever worked at least once, or never?

We need info. As much as possible.
