I have a design question. If you have built an overdrive pedal using IC chips etc, is it possible to combine it with a delay feature?

In other words, is is possible to build a two stage pedal

Stage 1 generates the overdrive/distortion

Stage 2 adds delay

If so, does anyone have a schematic that would show this? Prefreably, is there a drawiong that could be used to build stage 2 and add it on to any stage 1 circuit?

Thank-you

There are many ways to wire up your effects, and your idea is certainly not uncommon!

Look here, scroll down to "Multi Effects Switching"....
