hi guys, OK, not a pedal, but its a very handy device.

for ages i tried sussing out a way to record and playback with my roland micro cube (into a tablet or phone)

(whilst cutting off the recording devices internal mic)....and not having to swap over leads to record, then playback..

(the issue i had was apple and samsung swap over the ''mic'' on the trrs plug) the bstds..  ::)

i use a samsung tablet and phone...and this works for those...and this works great.

i added and extra input for another device to play backing tracks, or youtube vids audio...

and i added a record level as the roland output can get quite hot, even at low levels...

i found an app called ''open camera'' which has some cool features, like audio input select, and even has a vu meter/monitor whilst you are recording....

tried it, and it all works great....now i can record video of playing, and playing along with another audio source at excellent quality, and no more background noise....

i haven't tried it on any other amp..just my lil roland micro cube, and it works flawlessly...

i had to buy a cheapo mic/phone trrs splitter, i cut a male to male 3.5mm trs jack cable in half and stripped the 3 wires
and plugged them both in to the splitter and got the DMM out....then wired as in the diagram, and voila'
its finally sorted....happy bunny.   happy jamming and recording.

thought it it may be of use to others ..enjoy... ;)

no 1-100 ohm resistor to mix record/mic tip and sleeve?  8) :icon_biggrin:

p.s. good idea, btw... :icon_cool: :icon_cool: :icon_cool:

nope, i thought that , but seems to work fine.....so far lol...

like i say i had issues with apple and samsung and their mic/ground being reversed...

so if you have an apple (rotten to the core) device swap them over... :icon_mrgreen:

hmm.. just realized something.. say i use this for a imac... would it still work?

oh and also.. if I wanna plug my headphones... I just have to plug them in one of those 'aux in 1,2' there in your schematic, right?   :icon_confused:

i think my lil roland amp is mono summed at the headphone/record out) internally regarding the 1-100 ohm resistors on further thought...so its not 'stereo' out to recording per se' ....

as for your imac....hmmm not sure on that.

but i would think your phones should work....
