Well, I managed to make matters worse! I damaged the ground hole of the LED from replacing the LED so many times.  I fortunately have a second Tommy PCB and might just start again.  If I decide to push through, can I tie the LED ground Leg to the DC ground hole right next to it?

This might just be a "Learning PCB" and not actually boxed.
