Hi,

I have a shure m67 mixer, and I want to use it as a fuzz box. Id like to ask about adding  soft clipping diodes to this preamp circuit, to then run the output of one channel, to the input of another channel, then to the output. Id also try bypassing the the signal balancing transformers.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Maybe a little more information about your project might help the help. Those are cool old mixers.

There are no soft clipping diodes, the closest you get to that in this type of thing might be diodes in the negative feedback path and it requires retrofitting stuff on to the PCB. This might sound good and fuzzy with each stage overloading the next, easier to try that first.

Bypassing the transformer is about as simple as saying it, is there a question about it specifically?

This is plugged in to the mains, you might want to be very careful poking around in that thing without knowing what you're doing, which no offense, it sounds like you don't.
