Can I use Zener Diodes Like This?

I am using a CD4066 for controlling 4 separate signals. I also want a fifth switch that will provide voltage to all four control pins simultaneously. I tried to isolate control voltages to each control pin using high value resistors (See right hand side of attached image). However, I still get voltage bleed when a single switch is activated, and I don't like needing such large resistors. So I had the thought of using Zener diodes with a voltage rating higher than the DC value that will be applied for the control pins. Can I do that? Is there an issue with having 5V frequently on the cathode side of the Zener? I know what they do in theory, I just don't use them too much. I guess I have used them for over voltage protection, which has almost the voltage rating constantly on the cathode...

So this should work, right?

What you want is an "OR Gate". If "B" OR "All" is high, output is high, else low.

While there are active OR gates, for such a minimal job you can use two diodes and one resistor per input.
