Can I sub a C100k dual for the B100k dual in a Klone?

Not sure how I ended up with this C100k. Its entirely possible I ordered it for something else, and I just can't find the B100k that I ordered for my Klone. I haven't worked on pedals in a couple years.

Anyway...  I have a C100k dual pot. My instructions call for a B100k dual for the gain control. Will I be ok? Anyone know if it will make a noticeable difference?

Thanks

the knobs ''feel'' will be off, it wil have quite a bit of range (40%) bunched up in the first 10% of the turn, it works, but it gets really sensitive in the first bit of movement.
the actual tone won't change at all

cheers, Iain
friendly reminder: all holes are positive and have negative weight, despite not being there.

It will do a bit more than that.
It really needs the B100K dual pot. Remember, as one section increases, the other section of the dual pot is decreasing in the way the pot is wired... So the ratios in relation to the other section will be off by quite a bit. The pedal will still work but not like it's supposed to.
Someone else please verify. Thanks.

This is what I was afraid of. Crap. Guess I need to look harder for my B100k or make a parts order.

If it was a regular Gain control, I'd say "Sure, no problem.  The feel will be a little off but you'll get used to it."

However, the Gain control blends two paths in a certain manner as the gain is turned up or down.  The B taper is far more appropriate than either C or A for the task.  Chances are pretty good it won't even sound like what it's a clone of.
