I need ±15V power supply for a preamp. I also have two toroidal transformers 15V/1A. Is it OK to wire them like this (primaries in parallel, secondaries in series with ground at center lug), and the regulate + and - DC branches with separate positive and negative regulators?

That's absolutely fine as far as the transformer connections go. Of course, for a complete schematic we want to see a fuse and DPST power switch after the AC inlet ;)

I will add snubber filter too, but I wanted to simplify schematic for this discussion. My main dilemma was if it is possible to use two transformers in such a way.

For 15VA secondaries it shouldn't considered necessary..
(it shouldn't do any harm, of course..)

If you add it, you better wire it across the ON-OFF mains switch than across primary winding..
(personal matter of taste for a long-live healthy switch..) :icon_wink:

I am wondering what happens with the power rating of those transformers ?

Let's say each transformer is 25VA, is the combo in this schema 50VA ?

keep the polarity in mind!

i would have given both transformers their own rectifier that then determines the ground.

in this configuration, its double the voltage and the same current so yes double the power rating.
if you double the voltage through the same load, you get quadruple power consumption, but that's besides the point
