Question about op amp feedback loop going to vb versus ground

I've noticed that in some circuits like the Son of Screamer, the Zen Drive, and the SD1, in the feedback loop the negative input is tied to vb instead of ground like a Tube Screamer. What is the reason for this? I just wonder if this is a better practice than going straight to ground, like maybe it reduces noise?

It really doesn't matter..  :icon_wink:

Vb is also AC grounded, via a big electro cap which shunts Vb to GND..

Sometimes is just a layout convenience matter..
"I'm getting older while being taught all the time" Solon the Athenian..
"I don't mind  being taught all the time but I do mind a lot getting old" Antonis the Thessalonian..

it really doesn't matter as long as the Vb is buffered, if not, its a bad idea to tie it to Vb.

friendly reminder: all holes are positive and have negative weight, despite not being there.
