Hi there, newbie pedal builder here. I haven't actually started building yet but for now just playing around with a few circuits to get a feel for them.
I've been testing the schematic of Klon Centaur in the software LTSpice and noticed large voltage swings at the output when power is started due to temporarily mismatched DC voltages at the op-amp inputs. Does this also occur in real life?
Another thing I pondered is that no bypass caps are used at the op-amp power supplies to combat voltage droop. Is the lack of them a feature or are they generally unnecessary for stomp boxes?

a lot of pedals do that swing thing, its not something to worry about, since you should have your pedals plugged in before turning on your amp.

a lot of pedals omit the bypass cap since the current's are nothing to be concerned about. only when problems arise, like with oscillations.

welcome to the forum, Piet (are you dutch??)

cheers, Iain
friendly reminder: all holes are positive and have negative weight, despite not being there.

Thanks, Iain. That helps a lot.
And yes, good guess, I'm dutch.
