Ground Loop on Mixer Interface?

I'm planning to build an interface for a K-Mix Digital Mixer, but I want to make sure I do it right. The mixer will be part of a travel rig, and is going to have a mic and several pedalboards connected/disconnected from it fairly frequently, so I want an interface there to reduce wear on the mixer itself.  The interface will function as a pass-through box for all 16 inputs/outputs (2 XLR, the rest 1/4" jacks). My question is this - are ground loops something I might need to worry about for this sort of application? I'm not super knowledgeable about them, and I'm worried that something like this might introduce a ground loop into the system. If it could be a problem, what would I do to prevent it? Thanks all!

If just a foot or so of cable, anything goes. If further, mount the far jacks on plastic.

i have build my loop switcher with plastic jacks, the Send jacks were connected like you'd expect, with the tip to the buffer out and the sleeve to ground, but the Return jack, i only connected the signal to tip, not the ground/sleeve. if i were to re-build it (took it apart for its parts and lack of use), i'd put switches at the return jacks to lift/connect the grounds there.

cheers
friendly reminder: all holes are positive and have negative weight, despite not being there.
