Dynacomp question.

I've traced through a couple of different Guyatone pedals that incorporate the Dynacomp style compressor in them. There is a significant difference however; while the Dynacomp sports the low pass filter (15K/10nF/1uF combo) on the non-inverting (+) side of the OTA, the Guyatone's have it loaded on the inverting (-) side.

Does it make a difference performance-wise, or is this simply a copyright workaround?
