DSP on FPGAs?

This project is going to be interesting to watch.  Every few months I go on about how awesome Faust DSP language is.  And the reality is... it's awesome!  I don't know how the complexity vs. cost is going to shake out but I can see some cool sounds being easier to develop and cheaper to manufacture than some of today's ASIC solutions.

I have it on my calendar to start with in 2022. Looks really awesome and I love the multi-platform thing. I'm thinking on a way to approach SHARC DSP's. What do you think?

In fact I recall looking at this awhile back as I wanted a target platform for Faust development that wouldn't run out of cycles quickly.  Helps to look at the details.  I recall some release notes talking about versions of C++ that were compatible, possible need to use an old version of the code generator, etc.  At the moment I am using Faust to make VSTs using "JUCE".  One thing I notice after diving head first into Faust is that there are plenty of things that want fixing.  Good thing it is an open source project!
