Big Muff Stutter Switch Help

Hey everyone! First post here and I'm excited to figure this out.

I recently was given a NYC Big Muff and didn't like the way it sounded, so I decided to do a couple of simple mods to it. First I removed the 1st pair of diodes which gets it close to an old Supa Bender as many of you know. I also replaced the power jack, handwired new pots, and replaced the footswitch. Looking and sounding pretty great!

There is one mod I want to do however. I want to add a stutter switch so that when the pedal is on I can press the SPST momentary switch it cuts the signal. I already have the supplies because I love doing this kind of stuff. Does anyone know how to do this to a big muff as far as wiring goes? I imagine it would be quite simple.

Welcome aboard, as is customary here.

I would imagine it is as simple as putting a normally connected spdt between the output of the volume pot and the bypass switch. Or a not connected switch between the same output and ground. Depends which kind of switch you have available. Easy to try either.

Cool! Yeah I have a couple SPST momentary soft touch switches. Not really sure which wire on the 3PDT is wired to the pot because nothing is labeled. Do you think wiring it the ground/output will be my best bet?

The middle wire from your volume pot is your output and will be wired to the switch. Post pics of the pedal guts and people will be easier able to advise you. You need to determine which type of switch you have, 'normally connected' where pressing the switch breaks the connection between the poles, or 'not connected' where pressing the switch makes a connection between the poles. You meter on continuity (beeping) setting will tell you what type of switch you have.
