Question: One of my guitar loop effects only has a peg switch. The function now designed is: step 1 time, start recording, step 1 time, stop recording, start playing the first audio of recording, step 1 time , Start the second audio recording, and repeat this way...
If you want to stop working, you have to step on it quickly. In the process of using it, it is easy to step on it by mistake.

Idea: Can you design a circuit and add another pedal to specifically control and close the effector function, so that there are 2 pedals, one controls the start of recording, ends the recording, looping, and the second pedal only controls the shutdown, which is equivalent to the original Step 2 of that function.

I'm a circuit noob, don't you know the above expression is clear? Guiqiu all the great gods for advice! ! !

If I understand you correctly, if you step normally on the switch, it will move through the functions (start, stop, play etc).  If you step on it for a very short time it will then stop and shutdown.  Is this correct?  If so then it would be pretty simple to program a microcontroller with 2 switch inputs to output a short or long press.  It may be able to drive the pedal directly, or drive a relay to close.  You would then need to connect it in parallel to the existing switch.  A socket on the pedal that you could then connect your control pedal to would be elegant.  If you used a stereo socket you could even pass power from the loop pedal to power the circuitry.  You would need to know how long is a short press and how long is a long press though.
