Jon was just starting out with the series, and started at the bottom of the ladder.  He's had some other folks in as well that had more to say.  But thanks.

The beard is now history.  All that spaghetti sauce and soup residue was weighing me down.  BTW, Jon/NextGen is super to deal with.  Some overlap in stock with other places, but a lot more emphasis on amp/guitar building supplies.  Great selection of tolex.

Nice, it's very interesting, and i'm glad to put a face on your name, Mark :)

Rob Strand

Yeah, nice interview Mark.     I'm sure that tolex improved the quality of the recording  :icon_mrgreen:.

It was fun while it lasted, but it's nice to feel cheeks on my cheeks, and the breeze on my face.  The pony tail is still going strong, though I kind of miss being able to imitate "Cousin It" from the Addams Family.  That torch has now been handed to Pinkjimi.

Add a bowler and you are pretty much there.

Anyone who casually drops a Carl Sagan anecdote is hyper-cool (biblical beard or not).   8)   Neat interview, Mark.  Thanks.

Very good interview!

Cool to hear the Penfold books being mentioned. I bought a lot of those 10-15 years ago, but I still have to find some time... :o

When I heard "I get more pleasure from setting up than playing" I felt really good. Thought that might just be me :)

A lot more ragged than they did in 2009!  I think those same 3 women would probably call security.

If they are under 35 they might even pay more for them.

I thought that's what that was in the background!

Just watched this, Mark: nice to hear the voice to the (few) photos I`ve seen.
(Never knew you have quite some hair hidden behind your head!)
Just knew you were always the trustworthy & righteous guy that I imagined (from far away).
Felt quite honored to hear my name in the (hi-)storyline - Thank you, my friend!
Stay safe & keep enjoying them Effectors,
Ton.

Mark Hammer

An honour to hear your praise, good sir.

These days, Ton, almost as much hair in the hairbrush as on the head.  I joke that it's the "trade surplus" you don't want: more going out than coming in.  The beard went May of last year as a 40th wedding anniversary present for my wife.

It was a bit of a "Gift of the Magi" scenario ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Gift_of_the_Magi ).  I was hastily shaving to surprise her and she went to surprise me with a gift (not beard-grooming related).  Wondering why I was taking so long after my shower, she opened the bathroom door, and there was my chin!
