Hi folks. I'm starting a lonnnng overdue project after months away from a breadboard or iron and may have already built my way into a corner. I have a silly question in that my build has left me with no other choice in that if I want a 9V battery in there, its going to have to butt it right up against the speaker magnet, thus causing the battery to magnetize to it. Is this bad or going to cause any sort of audio interference at all? Will it damage the speaker or drain the battery quicker than it should? Had a bit more trouble finding a succinct answer to this around here so hope im not overlooking where it may have already been discussed before. Thanks a lot folks and have a great weekend! :)

Good question. I can remember when young the little dc motors in my toys stopped/got hot if they picked up something magnetic. Older me thinks the field was shunted out by the object. So it seems to me, that it isn't the battery you should worry about.
