Does performance of the 3207 change depending on output resistor current?

When experimenting with a Behringer flanger, I eliminated one stage and lowered the output impedance of the BBD, by replacing the 56k resistor to ground with a 20k.

Since the output transistors are acting as followers, it seems to work.  However I suspect a change in response, though I am not sure. 

How would performance of the chip be affected by the current amount running through the output transistors?
