Does anyone know anything about the TL044 IC? I assume it is a quad op amp, but can't find any datasheets or info on it, like pinout, etc.

Thanks,
J.

Jason, it turned up in a 1992 Texas Instruments data book saying "not for new designs", it's gone now. Was a special low power device, runs on =-2v, will run on =-15. Pinout is weird, because you can have option of powering only HALF of it!!
pins go" out#1, in--#1, in+#1, Vcc-#1, in+#2, in-#2,out#2,Vcc+#2 for the first 8, then continuing pins 9 to 16 are out#3, in-#3, in+#3, Vcc-#2, in+#4, in-#4, out#4, Vcc+#1

It appears to be an obsolete opamp from Texas Instruments.
See <http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/tl044.html>.
My guess is that the TL064/074/084 devices have replaced it, in which case it's a 16 pin quad opamp.

Thanks for the help, guys!

I saw the chip in an ADA Final Phase and it was the only thing that jumped out as possibly obsolete.
