So, you're a "pot zero absolute minimum resistance" believer, Stephen..??
"I'm getting older while being taught all the time" Solon the Athenian..
"I don't mind  being taught all the time but I do mind a lot getting old" Antonis the Thessalonian..

depends on the markings on the pot, sport. if there is any trailing zeros, I'm out!

also, mystery fuzz. I found a drawing of aGe sziklai bazzfuss I did years ago recently, and it includes a switch with an osc position. but I don't know what it sounds like this many [7] years removed.

I'd be interested in taking a look, regardless! An oscillation switch, perhaps?

is positive ground. has many switches - I'm not sure what hi/lo does, been a long time. [I blame kipper.] if you do have a swing at it, let me know what it does, it'll be a while before I get around to it again.

[edit :] found this.

Just a quick update on my progress. New circuit and values are below. Sounding... ok? A bit compressed and thin-sounding, so i'm still playing around with values to get it where I like it.

What are you using to draw the schematics? Can't you put the values on there too?

Seems like it's cramping your style a bit!  :icon_biggrin:

EasyEDA. I can put the values in on that, but I haven't solely for the fact that I drew this schematic as a reference and marking values with pen and paper as I sit by my breadboard. Not the most efficient way of working, admittedly!
