Not to get us too far off topic, but how do you guys add those order select switches?

Mark Hammer's Grit Control mod for Bluesbreaker

I know this one, but it gets engulfed by the addition of clipping in stage 1. That compresses the signal a bit more at high gain which gives a nice "amp" feel and renders IMHO the grit control obsolete. It isn't there in Mark's Wattbreaker.

Long time no see this post.... sorry for that.
But I wasted a lot of time in deciding what to do with the switch.
The original boost function was inspired by the existing versions rather than the need for a boost.
I mean... it is a transparant overdrive in its basic form. Boosting is not the main character of such a circuit.

What this switch might do - I'm thinking out loud here - is cutting the diodes in stage 1. In other words a mod/classic switch.
Or it might switch between ratios..... Now we have a max out signal of 0.68*(0.7V + input) + 2 * 0.7v. Why not have an option of 0.2*(0.7V+input) + 3*0.7v ... ? This would make it more towards distortion/amp instead of overdrive.
