Tone bender mk III; WIP

Hi guys,

I'm about to finish an mkIII and was wondering whether some of you could tighten up my flood of thoughts. You see given the fact I have pin sockets I want to fiddle with some transistors here. Probably trying to use as much silicon here as possible without changing the character.

Two elements are fixed though:
- I'll use the fixed resistors in the darlington stage
- the third transistor will be germanium.

Fuzzcentral mentions 2n3906 for example as silicon alternatives for q1 and 2. I have some so i'll try them first. Some BC559A's can be used as well.

I just post it as seems he gets away with only using a germanium diode with the 2N5088

to fake a bit of germanium caracteristic. ( I know its called fixed bias configuration

but not understanding whats the exact result is)

Well yes, this one uses a resistor from collector to base so Q3 does not need leakage.

I didn't put C11 on the switch ,so on that position there was no bypass cap on Q2 emitter,

giving a lower gain fuzz as an option.

Perhaps change Q1, Q2 circuit like Fuzz Face, blend the output like Fuzz Rite

ANd I DO have a great stompbox enclosure for this.
