I did this SG-1 project some time ago, and it's working, but not the way I want it to be.

I mean, even after the modding and precise setting of the trimpot, I still can't get that super-sensitive swell effect. It's like, the signal either dies before reaching the top on high attack settings or just fast enough not to swell. In any case, my hits to string are not linearly rising from zero to top, I can hear the initial picking sound faintly, and then it starts to rise from there. On a scale of 10, once hit the string, the sound is like 1 or 2 first, making a slight drop a bit then rising from there. Sort of an initial signal leak, or bleed I'd define, maybe.

I followed the project on effectslayouts, which is based on GGG, and it's also the same as Aion's and BYOC's Lazy Sprocket. The only difference is the Attack cap I've changed the 470nf cap to 10uf and added another 10uf with an SPDT switch for a longer attack response. And after seeing another project in here, I've changed the 10k resistor coming out of trimpot to 1k first then to 5.6k, but nothing much changed. I think I've used 2SK30A and 5x 5088, I'll check them again though.

Videos I've seen on YT of Slow Gear or its clones are actually pretty good and accurate on swell effect, it really sounds like a violin or reverse effect, namely does its job, but mine seems not that precise right now.

I could not find any, but is there any detailed breakdown of this circuit that explains the stages and what does what? Or any suggestions to improve this one?
