Delay on veroboard into a 1590A

Hello,
I built on veroboard several kind of effects for 1590A box, having others in progress, now it's the turn of the delay.
I'm going to build the Madbean Cave Dweller, the very first, simpler and smaller version.
Here's the layouts.



Tagboard version is verified a lot. I like Renegadrian's layout, too, because it's a bit smaller, "signed" as verified, and probably it is, but I'm not sure how many people built it, and I don't like input and output stripe so close each other.
I'll try to fit the TagBoard one into a 1590A.

Cave Weller in the demo sounds pretty decent, though it has a pair of bad points: no control of the delay volume and the overall muddy sounds.



First thing to do is brighting it up, and I guess there some trick to try, separately (all in one... to try, I guess).
- Replace C3 4.7nF with 3.3nF or 2.2nF. Even remove it, but it should rise up the hiss.
- Remove C2 to have the tone «back░».
- Replace C1 with 56nF and R1 with 510k. (Adjusting the volume output changinhf R9, in case.)

Then I found these adjustment for the same purpose.

1. R2: 470K
2. R4: 22k
3. C3: Remove
4. R7: 4k7
5. C9 1n

About the Level, or mix, I don't have enough room to include a daughter-board with a blend control.
But to get a sort of delay level, Brian from Mad Bean Pedal himself, suggested to try something like a newer version of the Cave Dweller: «a mix control after C15», I think between C15 and Dwell pot.

I want to try the "Warble Mod" by deadastronaut, included somehow in the last version of the Cave Dweller itself. I'll see if I can find enough space to include a switch. It is an 1M resistor between pin 6 and 8 of the IC.

If you know other bright mod, or other mod in general I'll glad to try all of them.
