Interesting! Mine is still working fine with my solution and I think I will leave it as it is now, but if I would ever build another one I would try your suggestion. Thankjs for sharing.

Excuse the necropost.

I can probably confirm that it works to lower the 100K pots and mixing resistors to 10K, as suggested. (Caveat: I have a messily customized circuit and my own PCB.)

Here's a recording of what I was hearing originally. This is from my direct-out. If you turn your volume up, you can hear the distorted signal in the background. Lowering the pots and resistors made that go away.

In my case, after fixing that, my OCT-out was then left with a different kind of background noise. Here's a recording. It sounds like more typical digital noise instead of like a distorted guitar, so I'm presuming it's some separate problem. I haven't had a chance to narrow it down, but it's easy to filter out digitally with a low-pass filter at ~5kHz or so.

Hi Maxpm,

I have tried to listen to your second recording, somehow I can only hear a short fragment where I am now. It sounds like the end of your tone has a gate that is opening and closing. Maybe check if the signal you are sending in the pedal is strong enough. You could try that with placing a booster or compressor pedal before the OC-2.
