You lazy buggers.....yeah its cool, I built 2, one for the floor and another that's permanently on my bench...

Rankot,, pots,  321  left to right.

But I wire the 1mA 's reversed....

So you actually planned pots to be from the opposite side of other parts, right?

60 pedals and counting!

Yes I run the wires under the board,   the toggles hold the PCB in place which are also under the board.

Boxed it. Led eyes switch off when lfo is disabled

Hi
I am a bit of a newbie and would love to make the Dreamtime my next build but I can't figure out how the two LEDs of the "eyes" are connected to the PCB since I only see one place to connect the LFO LED. Am I supposed to connect both to the same place on the PCB?

deadastronaut

Hi, yes, put 2 leds in parallel, connect to the 1 led spot.  8)

Hi
I actually never managed to get the Delay to work. I am trying now to get it to work and one of the things I did was to use a PCB to wire the switch. I am just not sure where I need to connect the TOFS cable to. The PCB I am using is this one https://www.musikding.de/3PDTconnectorpcb.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks a lot!

EDIT: I actually figured out that I could use the PCB and just connect the cable to the lug hole of the footswitch in any case so that's what I did.
I still don't manage to get the pedal working though. I tested continuity and components abd all was good but when I turn the pedal on nothing happens (no LEDs and no sound). Could it be that I am using the wrong resistors for the LEDs? They are 3mm regular green ones.

deadastronaut

the green leds will have nothing to do with it not working.

the tofs means to footswitch.

wire it up as per a standard 3pdt switch....i cant vouch for the 3pdt board you are using.

a basic pcb wiring guide is on my site.

ignore the midi drums label on the link, it will take you to the pcb wiring for the dreamtime ok.

Just finished building this, first impressions are good!  :)
But: Are there any mods I could try to accomodate the delay for bass guitar?
Thanks

Theonefromthecoalcreek

Well, if you don't get any reply, then maybe it was a stupid question to begin with.  :-\ And I guess it was.
Having had more time to test it, I can report that it sounds great with bass guitar as is. It adds some sparkle on top, of course, and thereby changes the overall sound, but there is to my ears no noticable drop in low frequencies (as is the case with many effects pedals).

[sorry for the belated] welcome to the forum Theonefromthecoalcreek.

it is unusual for DA (the other) to allow a post in one of his threads to go unreplied to. perhaps if you add something about the number and brightness of all those leds you have in your build, he will come a-running. or a-space-walking.

So this is what my version looks like. I thought the Sandman was quite fitting for a Dreamtime Delay  8)

It phase inverts the signal though. But I've remedied that. I'm very happy with the delay!
