Aion Comet legacy IC question

I'm building the Aion fx comet legacy ds-1 effect and i'm using a TA7136AP IC.
Does anyone know which was the IC is placed on the pcb please?
The left top side side of the IC has an angle and on the pcb there is one square pad and 6 round ones.
Does anyone know if it is this angled side that fits to the square pad?

The data sheet shows the cut corner marks pin 1, usually pin 1 on a PCB is the odd one.

You can trace the PCB to confirm this.
