Howdy,

Somebody asked if I could do a volume mod for a WH10 v3, and I figured it couldn't be that hard. Realised when I got the pedal the buffered/TB switch was pointless as all the 3DPT wiring was broken (no PCB on the switch from factory?), but after a bit of jiggly pokery I got it repaired.

Lot of posts around about removing the switch - people cutting the Molex connectors off, removing the switch from the switch PCB and wiring traces, trying to shove the switch inside the enclosure, etc. All seemed a bit rough to me.

Seeing there's just one plug coming from each throw of the switch, I figured I could just remove the entire thing and bridge it directly on the PCB which worked fine - bridge the left pairs for true bypass, and the right pairs for buffered bypass. Can be changed from always-on TB to buffered in under a minute as the back of the PCB is easily accessible inside the enclosure.

Replaced R6 with a 500k pot, got it fitted into the existing switch hole and bam - works perfectly!
