Here's another pair from a quarter-century back.  As it happens, I have recently come into some 2N388A units, courtesy of the ever generous Commander Keen.  I may take a crack at this later this evening, unless Aron says "Nah, not worth it".

The hot harmonics schemo is fun. I drew that using a [crude] drawing package on a Unix machine. It was the only graphics utility I had at the time. I had to draw resistors with only diagonal slashes because I didn't know how to do zigzags with the drawing program.

I was in the very first part of my campaign to redraw every effect schematic ever made. :icon_lol:
