Here's a good one, but they'll probably charge a fee!

The thing that annoys me about these sorts of things is the lack of any real quantitative testing. Despite their "spooky action at a distance" nature, REAL quantum entanglement effects are MEASURABLE. Where is the data? Listening tests are not lab data.

These folks also claim improvements in very easily measured properties such as S/N ratio, video contrast, and video color saturation. These can all be measured to very high levels of accuracy using common test equipment. Where are their numbers?

Listening tests are subject to lots of sources of error. The power of suggestion can be quite strong. The power of peer pressure to observe something that isn't there can be even stronger: Hans Christian Anderson wrote about this 166 years ago ("The Emperor's New Clothes")!

The audio reviewers are what drive this silliness. I would like to see, just once, one of them write that the latest gizmo did nothing at all. But they don't - every power conditioner, cable, wooden disk, etc. "reduces harshness", "improves the sense of tempo", " widens the soundstage", "increases the sense of seperation between instruments" or (the winner and current champion) "removes a veil-like layer that had previously obscured the notes". Extra points for claims that you can tell what brand of rosin the violinist uses.

I think the point is people are trying to figure out why? - I also won't "pay" to find my answers, but truly enjoy the various explanations! ...even if they're a bit beyond my (current) understanding.I do KNOW some days using same guitar, amp, setup etc. - It doesn't work- other times, the damn thing IS in tune w/universe. If I can find "universal tuning" (that's consistent)...I'd have more to share/sell, so it's worth a moment (no more) to peruse these ideas-
