Heath 2232 Component Tracer

It has a scope looking screen with crosshairs on it that doesn't seem to light [screen's about 3x3'' and 12'' deep. has at least four pot/knobs an LM324 [Quad[
 Anyone know what this is or what I could do with these parts:

 Does anyone know an application for any of the aforementioned components or unit?
 The unit doesn;t work, but I'm still curious if anyones heard of this, whether it would be of any interest to a DIYer etc.
 I think I know what I can do with it...lol...it has a few 2k linears on it, and I just got a 100 from the TV
